ALTRUISTIC-DONOR TOUCHING LIVES

Is this for you? A number of indications make it expedient for a woman to seek fertility treatment using egg donation in order to raise a family. Inability to conceive using your own egg could be due to premature ovarian failure, loss of the ovaries from surgically induced menopause or natural menopause, failure to produce healthy eggs from superovulation with hormones and inherent genetic disorders which could be familial. Egg donation program at Altruistic-donor center brings together well-screened reliable egg donors and recipients aspiring to give birth to a healthy baby. You can choose to make this anonymous or non-anonymous especially if you select to use an identifiable donor which can be a relative, friend or colleague.

Our egg donors (in the age bracket 21 – 33 years) are women willing to donate their own eggs to help other women experiencing difficulties to produce viable eggs achieve their dreams of  giving birth to healthy children. The donors are competently screened to exclude infectious diseases including HIV, Hepatitis B and C, syphilis, medical and genetic diseases.  Fertility physicians and counsellors at altruistic-donor center will review all medical, family and social histories of the donors before accepting them into the program. Only those without abnormal findings are accepted into the program.

Apart from these our donors and recipients alike are psychologically counselled to make it certain that short and long term implications of the treatment processes are well understood. Appropriate and well explained consenting processes are also mandatory for the donors and recipients alike. Adequate question times and ‘cooling periods’ are inbuilt into our donation program to allow time enough for reflections on the treatment processes and future implications. All participants will be signatories to the mandatory and legally binding consent processes.

In all these processes the recipients’ partners are not left out. The recipients and their partners as well as the donors are enlightened appropriately about all the steps involved in the treatment processes, including necessary medical screening, psychological counselling, medications, need for menstrual cycle synchronisation, and the IVF treatment protocols. All donors are compensated for their time and commitment.
