Hybrid Online, Virtual, and Hands-on Modular Course taught by the expert faculty at CCMIG together with local faculty from The Medison Specialist Women’s Hospital, Lagos Nigeria.
The course includes:
- – Access to all CCMIG Online Modules with lectures, exercises and assignments for modular progression at your own pace
- – Access to CCMIG Laparoscopy Trainers at The Medison Specialist Women’s Hospital, Lagos to use for training throughout the course
- – Virtual session on theoretical aspects of gynaecological laparoscopy from basic to advanced techniques taught by the CCMIG faculty
- – Hands-on 2 day course in Lagos Nigeria on the 10th/11th November 2022 held at The Medison Specialist Women’s Hospital from expert local and CCMIG faculty
Course curriculum:
- – Ergonomics and risk assessment
- – Endometriosis and peritoneal excision
- – Ovarian cystectomy and adnexal surgery
- – Laparoscopic management of ectopic pregnancy (salpingectomy / salpingostomy)
- – Laparoscopic hysterectomy
- – Laparoscopic myomectomy
- – Laparoscopic suturing masterclass
- – Hysteroscopy, diagnostic and operative
- Feedback and grading of all Online assignments from the CCMIG Faculty. Modules are progressed at your own pace with progression after successful submission of the assignments. Full certification on completion of the course “CCMIG Diploma in Gynaecological Laparoscopy”.

After registering and making payment for this course, please ‘Register’ on the CCMIG homepage by clicking the link on the top right of the page and completing the form. Please ignore any future request for payment or any other monetary sum, it is included in full registration for this course.
Once you have registered your Online account will be activated within 24 hours and you can begin progressing through the content!
All the Online modules are available by clicking the ‘Study Online’ tab in the home page menu. You will be granted access to the next module once you have successfully completed each one and submitted assignments.
The virtual session will be held after delegates have registered for the course and begun progression through the Online modules, this will be in late September / early October at a date to be confirmed and will be held on Zoom.
CCMIG Laparoscopy Trainers will be available for all delegates on the course to use throughout until completion of all the modules. These will be situated at The Medison Specialist Women’s Hospital, Lagos and managed by local faculty member Mr Lateef Akinola.
You will be contacted on an individual basis after registration to discuss the logistics of access and training time.
The course is appropriate for anyone, even if you have not had significant previous experience with operative laparoscopy. All theoretical aspects to ensure safe use of instruments, ergonomics and risk assessment are covered and the modular course can be carried out at your own pace. There are no set deadlines on completion and each delegate will spend more or less time on individual aspects.
The hands on course is held on the 10th and 11th November 2022 and we anticipate most delegates are well on the way by that point. With regular practice even beginners will surprise themselves at the level of progress!
Due to the international nature of the course we have set our price in US dollars. Due to our situation in London, UK the price appears in GBP for registration. This is to the value of the cost in US dollars at the time of advertising, if the exchange rate changes significantly this will be updated.
